Clint Eastwood, who won an Oscar, is feeling sad because his girlfriend Christina Sandera passed away.
She passed away on July 19 due to a heart attack, according to the Monterey County Health Department. They mentioned that cardiac arrhythmia, an irregular heart rhythm, and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease played a role in her death. Sandera was 61 years old when she passed away.
For the last ten years, she has been in a relationship with Eastwood, the famous actor known for his role in Dirty Harry.
Eastwood expressed his condolences for his late partner in a sincere message that he shared in the local Carmel Pine Cone newspaper. He said, “Christina was a wonderful, kind woman, and I will really miss her.”
They began dating not long after Eastwood got divorced from his second wife, Dina, whom he had been married to for almost 20 years. They liked to keep their relationship out of the public eye.
They apparently first crossed paths when Sanders worked as a hostess at his Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, which eventually turned into their safe haven.
Morgan Eastwood honored Sandera after she passed away, saying, “We are all heartbroken. Thank you, Christina, for being a great companion to my Dad. You will be remembered.”
Sandera was always there for Eastwood during important moments, especially when it came to his movies. They made their first public appearance as a couple at the 2015 Oscars, where Eastwood’s film American Sniper was up for some big awards.
She stood by her partner’s side, showing unwavering support throughout their relationship. At the Cannes Film Festival in 2017, they made a joint appearance, emphasizing their strong connection. The following year, she joined Eastwood and his entire family at the premiere of his film The Mule, highlighting her significant role in both his personal and professional life.
Even though she was dating a famous person, Sandera chose to avoid being the center of attention.
